Bitcoin sits below both its 50-day (near $64.6k) and 200-day (near $73.8k) averages — technically a downtrend. What keeps us neutral rather than cautious is that it is defending a clear support shelf around $57.8k while annualised volatility, near 43%, is calm by its own standards. Momentum (RSI in the mid-50s) is neither stretched nor washed out.
The long-term structure that anchors our patience is unchanged: a fixed, transparent supply schedule, the deepest liquidity and the widest institutional access of any crypto asset. None of that predicts a price — it is why we treat a Bitcoin pullback differently from an altcoin one.

Über Bitcoin
Bitcoin (BTC) is the cryptocurrency that started everything. It was described in a 2008 white paper published under the name Satoshi Nakamoto, a person or group whose real identity is still unknown, and the network went live in January 2009. At its heart, Bitcoin is a way to hold and send value over the internet without a bank, a payment company or a government sitting in the middle. Instead, a worldwide network of computers keeps a shared record of who owns what, and agrees on updates using a process called proof-of-work.
What makes Bitcoin unusual is its strict, published rulebook. No more than 21 million coins will ever be created, and new ones enter circulation on a fixed schedule that roughly halves every four years in an event known as the halving. A new batch of transactions is confirmed on average every ten minutes, and each one is written to a public ledger that anyone in the world can inspect. Because the supply is capped and the issuance is predictable, many holders treat Bitcoin as a long-term store of value and compare it to a scarce commodity rather than to ordinary money.
In practice, Bitcoin is the anchor of the wider crypto market. It usually has the highest market capitalisation, the deepest liquidity and the widest access, with regulated spot exchange-traded funds now available in a number of countries so investors can gain exposure through ordinary brokerages. When Bitcoin moves sharply, the rest of the market tends to follow, which is why traders watch it as a barometer for sentiment across every other coin.
None of that removes the risk. Bitcoin’s price can rise and fall dramatically over short periods, and it has gone through several drawdowns of more than seventy per cent in its history. It is best understood as a volatile, long-horizon asset rather than a safe place to park money you might need soon. Nothing here is financial advice; if you are researching Bitcoin, focus on understanding how it works and how much uncertainty you are comfortable holding.

Bitcoin FAQ
What is Bitcoin?
It is a digital currency running on an open, decentralised network that proof-of-work keeps secure. No company or government is in charge, and the rules allow only 21 million coins to exist.
Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?
The name belongs to Bitcoin’s anonymous creator, who released the 2008 white paper and switched the network on in early 2009. To this day nobody has confirmed who they really are.
How many bitcoins can exist?
The protocol limits the total to 21 million. Miners receive newly minted coins as a reward, and that reward is halved on a roughly four-year cycle until issuance finally ends.
Why does the Bitcoin price swing so much?
Trading never stops, and the market reacts quickly to adoption headlines, the wider economy, sentiment and borrowed money. Sharp moves in both directions are routine, and deep sell-offs have happened repeatedly.
Is Bitcoin a good investment?
That is not a verdict Crypto House will hand you, because we exist to explain crypto rather than to steer your money. What we will say plainly is that Bitcoin is a high-risk asset that has both soared and collapsed; some hold it for years as a hedge while others trade it actively. Read widely, understand the downside, and decide what suits your own circumstances.
Where does the Bitcoin price on this page come from?
Everything you see update here, the latest BTC price, its move over the past day and the trading volume, is read live from Binance’s public market feed. For the market-cap figure we take that price and multiply it by the circulating supply we track internally.
